This video production for Amazon Alexa introduced a unique creative challenge of capturing the whole story in one room over the course of an entire workday, all while featuring the screen of the Alexa Show 8. The original creative brief didn’t lay out how specific screen transitions would occur, so it was up to Director Kevin O’Brien to find an interesting and compelling way to make sure each transition felt smooth and natural.

After careful planning and storyboarding, the solution we decided on was to create intentional transitions with camera movement, and to include an animated digital "Alexa" clock that speeds up, showing time passing. That not only communicates more information about the story, but it’s also something entertaining to watch.
